Veterans Day Chapel
On November 9 we held a special Veteran's Day chapel to honor those who have served in our Armed Forces. Our honorees included relatives and friends of Bethany family members and representatives of the Sierra Madre VFW. The Blair High School ROTC presented the colors. Our Bethany Lions Choir sang patriotic songs and our Head of School, Mr. Jon Hawes, gave a message honoring our veterans. Afterwards the students thanked the veterans in a receiving line followed by a coffee reception for our honorees. We are grateful for all who have served in the Armed Forces. Thank you for your service!
Grandparents Day
On November 17 we honored our grandparents and special friends at our annual Grandparents Day. Over 200 grandparents and friends came to this special day. We began with our traditional Morning Muster which includes a pledge of allegiance to the US flag, our Christian flag and the Bible. Guests were treated to coffee and goodies followed by a chapel presentation of songs and poems by the Bethany student body honoring our grandparents. The grandparents then had time to pray with their grandchildren and do activities with them in their classrooms. The day concluded with a delicious lunch served by our PTF. Thank you to our grandparents and special friends for all the love and encouragement you give to us.
