We are excited to welcome four new staff members to our Bethany Christian School team and want to introduce them to you. They are Mrs. Lissette Arias (Kindergarten), Mrs. Rica Rudio (Art), Mr. Jacob Tadian (PE/After School Sports Coordinator) and Mrs. Victoria Tomilina (Assistant Teacher - Honeybees Class).
Mrs. Lissette Arias (Kindergarten) been teaching for fifteen years in both kindergarten and preschool. Mrs. Arias graduated from Azusa Pacific University and loves having movie nights, park days and visiting Disneyland with her husband Alex and their four year old son. They attend and serve the Boyle Heights community through Storehouse Ministries. Mrs. Arias loves kindergarten and says that “Seeing my students grow throughout the school year is so wonderful! I really enjoy them!”

Mrs. Rica Rudio (Art) graduated from the American College of the Applied Arts and has over twenty years of experience teaching Fine Art to children ages 5 through 12. She has also been a graphic designer for over 25 years. She grew up and still lives with her family in Eagle Rock. She and her husband have two children: a son finishing his MBA and a daughter starting her freshman year on a soccer scholarship. Mrs Rudio is excited to teach at Bethany, explaining, ““I love it because I get to teach about art and God together, two things I really love.” ny Christian. Mrs. Rudio loves spending time with her family, watching her kids play soccer, going to the beach, her dog (Bula), and of course, all things art!
Mr. Joshua Tadian (PE Teacher/After School Sports Coordinator) grew up playing organized sports, including baseball, basketball, soccer, and football. Childhood sports instilled in him a winning spirit, a relentless work ethic, focus, discipline, and teamwork After more than a decade working in both the construction and personal training industries, he decided to pursue his Bachelor's Degree in Sports Management. He feels blessed to help children learn how to be healthy and fit, play sports, develop teamwork, and ultimately learn how to be the healthiest versions of themselves. He desires to teach this all to his students so that they can honor God with their bodies and lives, developing sports skills that will last them a lifetime. Mr. Tadian is excited to work at Bethany Christian School because “Bethany provides an opportunity for kids to be in a place where God is glorified. It is an honor to help train them up in the way they should go.” He and his wife, Mercy have two children, Joy (4) and Joshua Jr (3).

Mrs. Viktoriia Tomilin (Assistant Teacher, Honeybees) is originally from Russia, and moved with her husband several years ago to start a new life in the U.S. And yes her first name, Victoriia, is spelled with two "i's"! Mrs. Tomilina's degree is in accounting, but she is retraining in Early Childhood Education at Glendale Community College. Mrs. Tomilina has two children, aged five years old and nineteen months. She is very happy to be part of the Bethany Christian School family!
